Long before we turned the first sod for the community of Lilywood Landings, this expansive site was home to the Newtons – a prominent dairy farming family known for their innovative practices.
We are honouring this farming legacy with the first precincts of Merryvale, The Bails, Meadows and Settlers Chase.
Merryvale – a farm ahead of its time
Part of the first release at Lilywood Landings, the Merryvale precinct takes its name from the Merryvale Jersey Stud, a farm that epitomised the Newton family’s forward-thinking approach.
Merryvale was a hub for agricultural innovation that was used as a showcase for field trips hosted by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries, and once for a tour by National Geographic.
The Merryvale precinct takes pride of place at the entrance to Lilywood Landings and will include the community’s Queensland Master Builders Association Display Village and extensive green corridor.
The Bails – timber ingenuity
Our second precinct, The Bails, is named after the milking sheds at Merryvale farm, which were considered among the most modern sheds of the era.
Constructed from farm-cut timber and featuring concrete steps, The Bails featured in a newspaper article highlighting the family’s ingenuity.
The Bails precinct forms the western boundary of Lilywood Landings and will be home to a major community park and playground for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Meadows – green open spaces
The Meadows precinct runs along the northern edge of our 3.25-hectare central green spine, providing the opportunity for modern parkside living in future stages of Lilywood Landings.
Settlers Chase – a new generation
This centrally located precinct reflects the historical farm buildings that once occupied the region that saw five generations of early settlers raise their families in Upper Caboolture.
Canopy Place – nature’s splendour
A boutique precinct in the heart of Lilywood Landings, Canopy Place will create a serene retreat with picturesque vistas and access to the community’s view corridors.
River Vantage – the edge of nature
As the name suggests, River Vantage is the first of our Caboolture riverfront precincts, offering a direct connection to almost 20 hectares of sweeping parklands and green vistas.
Staying fit and healthy will be a breeze for River Vantage residents thanks to a host of local walking trails, cycle paths and access to Caboolture River activities such as kayaking.
The Willows – old-fashioned fun
The Newton family children once used the graceful willow trees lining the Caboolture River as jumping platforms whenever it was time to cool off and have some fun.
The Willows precinct at Lilywood Landings will no doubt create new memories for Lilywood Landings families amid the location’s natural beauty and tranquillity.
River Bend – prestigious living
This premier precinct of Lilywood Landings also adjoins the green reserve that occupies our community’s 1.74 kilometres of Caboolture River frontage.
Future residents will enjoy amazing views and direct parklands access in a secluded setting that will be characterised by some of the community’s most prestigious homes.
River Parklands – protecting biodiversity
Riverbank Parklands will only be home to native fauna and flora. This large riverside reserve will ensure the protection of our region’s biodiversity and habitat values for future generations.
However, locals and residents will be regular visitors to the parklands for a firsthand nature experience!
