Life at Lilywood Landings is all about new beginnings for first home buyers Scott and Renee Vermey.
The lucky couple secured one of the first lots in the fledgling community and are looking forward to moving into their new home with their two children – nine-year-old Amity and Jordan, aged four.
Having lived in Morayfield for 10 years, Scott said he was keen to stay local and Lilywood Landings was the ideal location.
“We really like the area. The schools are nearby for the kids, we are close to the Sunshine Coast but can also get to the city really easily too,” he said.
“Lilywood signifies new beginnings for a lot of people. For us, it’s about having a new house and being a part of something that is just starting to grow.”
The couple expect to receive the State Government’s first home buyers grant and have chosen to build a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home with twin living areas and a double garage.
The spacious home will feature a modern kitchen and oversized walk-in pantry. With a generous master suite and three additional bedrooms, it is the perfect single storey family home.
“It’s a lovely house with a lot more space than we have now. The children will have their own activity space and the big thing for us is that we can call it our own,” said Scott.
Construction is expected to begin early next year and carpenter Scott, 38, is hoping to move in by the end of August.
“We’ve found the whole process so easy,” he said.
“The sales team have been fantastic, very accommodating, and happy to spell things out so the information is easy to digest.
“We couldn’t be happier with it all and can’t wait to become a part of this new community.”
