Stay connected at Lilywood Landings with the power of nbn

6 September 24

In today’s fast-paced society, no one likes to wait. And when it comes to connectivity, why should we have to? That’s why Lilywood Landings is a proud nbn community.

In a move that makes it easy for buyers, the required infrastructure will been installed in our streets, which means all that’s left to do is move in and get connected.

Of course, it’s important to speak with your preferred phone and internet provider and select the nbn powered plan that’s right for you. And by planning ahead, you can ensure you are set-up and ready to start experiencing the benefits of nbn from the very first day you move in.

But what makes nbn so special?

We like to think of it as Australia’s digital backbone, providing reliable, resilient, and secure high-speed internet infrastructure to power our digital future. By building fibre deeper into communities, nbn is able to transform the way residents live, work, and play.

With a fast connection you can do so much more with your day – work from home; connect with loved ones; call and video chat with friends and family; stay entertained by watching your favourite TV show or sports match from multiple devices; enjoy telehealth, online banking and online shopping access at your fingertips; grow your opportunities by learning a new skill of qualification from home; or even build your business online.

The possibilities are endless – and they’re all ready and waiting at Lilywood.

How to plan for moving day with nbn

  1. Contact your preferred phone and internet provider by visiting the nbn providers’ page.

Remember: nbn is a wholesaler that provides the infrastructure that connects your home to the network. You’ll still need to select a provider and choose the best plan for your internet needs.

  1. Choose a nbn powered plan that suits your household’s purposes.

Remember: speak to your provider! It’s worth considering your usage. Do you have multiple people on multiple devices at the same time? Or are you simply using the internet to email friends or send photos?

  1. Set up your nbn connection by following instructions from your provider.

Remember: Ask your provider if there are any additional fees. Consider your home internet set-up before you move-in as this can be an important factor.

Top tips for optimising your setup

1. Consider your wi-fi coverage: place your modem in a raised position and avoid hiding it behind a TV or in a cupboard as this can lead to a weaker signal.

2. Check your equipment quality: you should always use the cables supplied with any new equipment and ensure that you have the latest model of modem from your provider.

3. Avoid interference: electronics such as microwaves, wireless security systems and cordless phones can interfere with wireless signals, so try to keep them away from your modem.

4. Turn off or consider replacing older devices: some devices that are more than ten years old may impact the speed of connection between your modem and other devices.

5. Assess the number of multiple connected devices: if you have multiple devices connected at the same time, it can impact the speeds you may be able to achieve. Basic modems will start to experience connectivity issues when more than eight devices are connected at once.

6. Use an ethernet cable to connect your high-definition television: an ethernet cable connection or a 5GHz Wi-Fi signal (with line-of-sight to the television) is highly recommended if you’re looking to achieve the best possible performance from your television. You can also consider using an ethernet cable to connect to other fixed devices in your home, such as desktop computers and gaming consoles.
