When it comes to connectivity, Lilywood Landings is shaping up to be one of the most well-connected communities in the Moreton Bay region.
With the Waraba-Caboolture corridor flagged as a priority growth area, planning for the new city of Waraba is already well underway, and a coordinated program of major road and public transport upgrades is in the pipeline to support future growth and ensure strong connections from the outset.
Early progress is already visible, with upgrades to Caboolture River Road delivering improved access at the Lilywood Landings entry and the signalisation of the first intersection for the new city. The milestone marks an important step in creating safe, efficient connections for future residents, visitors and local traffic.
Meanwhile, one of the most significant projects is the proposed Bruce Highway Western Alternative (Moreton Motorway). Designed to provide a new north–south connection west of the existing Bruce Highway, the new corridor will improve access between Waraba, Caboolture, Morayfield and Brisbane.
For Lilywood Landings residents, this project is expected to play a key role in making commuting and local travel faster and more reliable as the area grows.
Improving east–west connections is also a major focus. Planned upgrades to key local roads, including the Buchanan Road corridor, are intended to better link Waraba with surrounding centres and services, creating safer and more efficient routes for daily travel.
Public transport connections are part of the longer-term vision as well. Planning has identified a future rapid bus connection between Waraba and Caboolture, designed to link the new city with the existing rail network and regional hubs. This connection will help residents access jobs, education and services while reducing reliance on private vehicles over time.
Many of these projects form part of City of Moreton Bay’s long-term advocacy and planning framework and will be delivered progressively as funding and approvals are secured.
Lennium Group Development Manager Ian Worthington said it was important to get the balance right from the outset.

“Importantly, this infrastructure is being planned alongside our community, not retrofitted after development has occurred. It reflects a broader shift toward creating connected, liveable communities from day one.”
With more new homes already taking shape and infrastructure planning progressing in parallel, the foundations are being laid for a connected community that keeps pace with the region’s future.
