Full steam ahead as Waraba’s first supermarket takes shape

It’s one of the most anticipated milestones yet for the new city of Waraba – and it’s rapidly taking shape.

Construction on the city’s first full-line Coles supermarket is forging ahead, with civil works and foundations complete and the tilt panel walls now going up.

Located less than 500 metres from Lilywood Landings at the corner of Caboolture River Road and Craig Road, it’s an exciting and very visible sign that the everyday conveniences residents have been looking forward to are well and truly on their way.

The 3,500 sqm Coles is part of a new neighbourhood shopping centre featuring around 1,190 sqm of specialty retail, and a liquor retail outlet, all spread across three buildings on a 2.06-hectare site. Residents can look forward to landscaped surrounds, safe pedestrian pathways, and a generous ground-level car park with nearly 300 spaces, including click-and-collect bays, EV charging stations, accessible parking, and pram and senior bays. With frontage to both Caboolture River Road and Craig Road, the centre has also been designed to deliver important upgrades to local roads and infrastructure, making access easier and safer for everyone.

The project is being undertaken by Mainbrace Constructions, one of Australia’s most experienced retail builders and a company with a long track record of delivering Coles supermarkets and shopping centres across Queensland.

Lennium Group Development Manager Ian Worthington said the sight of tilt panels going up was a milestone moment.

“When buyers choose Lilywood Landings, they’re not just investing in a home, they’re investing in a city,” he said.

“Seeing a Coles supermarket taking shape just down the road is exactly the kind of momentum that confirms people made the right decision in buying here. It shows that the infrastructure and amenity this community needs is following the growth and following it quickly.”

With the Coles expected to open in less than 12 months, the timing couldn’t be better for the dozens of new families set to move into Lilywood Landings over the coming months. As each new stage settles and more homes are completed, having a full-line supermarket and specialty shopping just minutes away will make daily life significantly more convenient for this fast-growing community.

The Coles news comes as Lennium Group’s own commercial facilities within Lilywood Landings continue to progress.

The community’s 7-Eleven service station and convenience store – complete with fuel bowsers, automatic car wash bays, vacuum bays, a dog wash bay, and an air and water station – along with the Sparkletown car wash on Lilywood Boulevard, are expected to open by late 2026 or early in 2027.

“The 7-Eleven will bring another important level of convenience to day-to-day living at Lilywood Landings,” Ian said.

“Whether it’s grabbing a coffee on the way to work or a quick car wash on the weekend, these are the small but important services that make a community feel complete. Paired with the Coles shopping centre, Lilywood Landings residents will soon have a fantastic range of everyday essentials right at their fingertips.”
