Lilywood Landings residents will have a new way to keep both their cars and pets clean when a Sparkletown express car wash and dog wash centre opens at the end of 2026.
Sparkletown will be located alongside a new 7Eleven service station and convenience centre in Lilywood Landings, marking the arrival of Waraba’s first commercial offerings.
Lennium Group Development Director Ian Worthington said Sparkletown would add another practical service for residents of both Lilywood Landings and the surrounding community.
“Convenience is an important part of creating a community, so this is a great outcome for our residents,” he said.
“Having services like Sparkletown close to home means people can take care of everyday jobs without having to travel far, which is exactly the kind of amenity we want to see develop around Lilywood Landings.”

Sparkletown General Manager Angus McLean said the new facility had been designed with the needs of growing families in mind, particularly those who did not have hours to spend washing their cars on the weekend.
“Lilywood is a really logical location for us because it is a young family demographic, and we know people are time poor,” Angus said.
“Modern families don’t necessarily have two hours on a weekend to get out, wash the car, and get back, so we want to give people the ability to get in and out in 10 or 15 minutes.”
The new facility will feature two touch-free automatic car wash bays, three vacuum stations with air detailer functions, and two dog wash bays through Sparkletown’s Pooch Pit, giving families a convenient place to wash their dogs and cars, without having to deal with the mess and clean-up at home.
Angus said the facility would also continue a familiar Australian tradition, even if the experience looked a little different to the car washes many families remembered from their childhood.
“Going down to wash the car with your parents is a bit of a rite of passage for Aussie kids,” Angus said.
“The experience has changed, but that part of it hasn’t gone away. We still see kids getting excited about the colourful soap and the whole experience of going through the car wash.”
Sparkletown is also taking a long-term approach to its presence at Lilywood Landings, investing in infrastructure designed to manage water and waste responsibly over time.
Water used at the facility will be treated through dedicated infrastructure, with grey water reused for purposes including landscaping and cleaning, and contaminated material removed through regular servicing.
“Because we’re committing to these locations for the long term, we want to make sure the infrastructure is in place to adapt to things like future water restrictions and changing requirements.”
Sparkletown also plans to find ways to support the local community, such as sporting clubs and community organisations.
Construction of Sparkletown is well advanced with an opening expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
